fast results

I was originally skeptical of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy because I had heard about other peoples' bad experiences. But after I finally tried it for myself and resolved years-long insomnia issues within a month, I was sold and want to offer the same relief to others. While I can't guarantee an exact timeline, I can assure you that this is known to be the most efficient and effective insomnia psychotherapy treatment available.

lasting change

I can help you change your relationship to sleep long-term by teaching you skills and information that disrupt the insomnia cycle. If your sleep starts to get out of wack again, you can revisit the techniques you learned. Knowing that you have these techniques can also reduce a lot of insomnia-related anxiety, which also helps prevent you from entering into the insomnia cycle again.

customized

My approach is comprehensive so that you can identify and address all kinds of contributors to your insomnia--environmental, psychological, trauma-based, cognitive, and behavioral.

phase 3: behavioral change and troubleshooting

Next, I'll prescribe a strategy for resetting your sleep schedule, and workshop things you can do throughout your day to set yourself up for sleep at night. We will work together to handle any challenges that arise along the way.

phase 2: psychoeducation and environmental change

I'll teach you what helps with sleep and what gets in the way. We will brainstorm together ways to remove your particular barriers to sleep. We'll address bedroom set up, challenges with bed partners or roommates, and more.

phase 1: assessment

First, I'll assess the severity of your insomnia and get the whole picture of your sleep life and goals. I may also offer assessments for other possibly co-occurring disorders. During this stage, I'm also helping you address any mixed feelings or hesitations to really prioritizing resolving your insomnia.

What Can I Expect?

Targeted treatment for insomnia typically takes 4-10 sessions.
